Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how The School (“SARD”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the SARD community ecosystem, including the website at https://sard.community and the member application (“The School”).The retail community building together on Robinhood Chain.

The School is a community-driven platform built on Robinhood Chain. By creating a School account or using any SARD service, you agree to the data practices described here.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Telegram Identity: When you sign in via Telegram, we receive your Telegram display name, username, profile picture, Telegram user ID, and language preference. Your Telegram user ID is stored as an internal identifier and is never displayed publicly or shared.
• Profile Information: Your chosen Captain Name, motto, bio, and public profile slug. Your School ID number is assigned automatically upon onboarding.
• Activity Data: Mission progress, daily roll call streaks, XP, rank, badge and cosmetic unlocks, crew memberships, and leaderboard participation.
• Wallet Address: If you choose to connect a wallet, we store the public wallet address you connect. We never request or store private keys, seed phrases, or recovery phrases.
• Session & Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device label, and approximate location derived at session creation for security and abuse prevention.

How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Create and authenticate your School member account via Telegram.
• Track mission progress, XP, rank, streaks, and cosmetic ownership.
• Display your public School ID card, profile, and leaderboard standings.
• Generate and display your Sardine avatar and equipped cosmetics.
• Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, multi-accounting, and unauthorized access.
• Send in-app notifications about missions, rewards, and community events.
• Maintain audit logs for administrative and security purposes.

Public vs. Private Data

Your School ID, Captain Name, rank, XP, badges, cosmetics, crew membership, and streak data are visible to other members through the School Directory and public profile pages. Your Telegram numeric user ID, session tokens, IP address, and wallet address (if connected) are never displayed publicly. You can manage profile visibility from your School Settings.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only: (a) with Telegram for authentication, as governed by Telegram’s own privacy policy; (b) with your wallet provider when you initiate a wallet connection; (c) when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or integrity of the SARD community; and (d) in aggregate, de-identified form for analytics and community reporting.

Cookies & Local Storage

The School uses local storage and cookies to maintain your session, cache member data for performance, and remember your preferences. We do not use cookies for targeted advertising. You can clear local storage at any time, which will sign you out of The School.

External Services

SARD integrates with third-party services including Telegram (authentication), X / Twitter (official account), and blockchain networks (Robinhood Chain). These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any third-party service you interact with through SARD.

Data Retention

We retain your member data for as long as your School account is active. You may request deletion or export of your data at any time through School Settings. Account deletion anonymizes your records while preserving immutable audit logs for security and compliance.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You may also request an export of your data or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact the SARD team through official community channels. We will respond to reasonable requests in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Children’s Privacy

The School is not directed at individuals under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect member data, including server-side session management, role-based access controls, and encrypted token storage. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify members of material changes through in-app announcements or official community channels. Continued use of The School after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
